Background:	This cell originated from a primary clear cell carcinoma. This cell has microvilli and desmosomes and can grow in soft agar. A PTH like peptide produced by this cell is similar to that in breast cancer and lung cancer. The N-terminal of the polypeptide is similar to PTH, its activity is similar to PTH, and its molecular weight is 6000 daltons.
